Solving a Personal Challenge

The QuantaLingo journey began with a personal challenge faced by Founder, Robin McIntire, that many can relate to: the struggle of navigating a new country with limited language skills.

“When I moved to Switzerland in 2007, I found myself constantly stressed and overwhelmed trying to communicate with various organisations, from government bodies to utility companies and call centres. The language barrier was a significant hurdle, and I often wished for a service that could bridge this gap seamlessly. Unfortunately, the technology at the time wasn't advanced enough to offer a real-time solution. This experience planted the seed for what would eventually become QuantaLingo.

Inspired By Old Projects

Fast forward to 2020, when I returned to the UK, I noticed another issue that sparked my entrepreneurial spirit. Customer service wait times were excessively long, and I saw an opportunity to improve this with a call-back service for UK call centres. This service allowed users to wait for an available operator without staying on the line. During this venture, I discovered that around 15% of callers were making multiple attempts to connect with an operator they could understand. Upon further investigation, I realised these were foreign speakers struggling with language barriers. This revelation reignited my interest in real-time translation, and I knew it was time to revisit the idea with the advancements in AI technology.

With a clear vision and a renewed sense of purpose, I founded QuantaLingo. Our mission is to transform how businesses and individuals communicate across languages, using cutting-edge AI-driven technology. By providing real-time language translation services specifically for voice communications, we aim to eliminate the language barriers that hinder effective communication in the telecoms industry. Our long-term goal is to develop a fully autonomous AI-powered operator capable of handling calls in any language, paving the way for a new era of global connectivity. I am incredibly excited about the potential of QuantaLingo to make a meaningful impact on how we connect with each other, regardless of language differences.”

Key strengths include architecture and management of agile teams, and leveraging his skills in building high-performance groups to foster innovation and deliver results.

Gordon Robson

CEO

A serial entrepreneur who has co-founded, scaled and sold several companies, two of which operated internationally with major local JV partners. He has also listed and managed, as CEO, a company on the London AIM market. Key strengths are corporate strategy and team management, international partnerships, building business value and successful exits
